1About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of MyAccountant, a software-as-a-service product operated by App-Raiser Digital ("we", "us", "our"). By registering for or using MyAccountant, you agree to be bound by these terms.
If you are using MyAccountant on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
2The Service
MyAccountant provides AI-powered invoice processing, Malta VAT return preparation, and related financial reporting tools. The service is intended for use by businesses registered or operating in Malta and the European Union.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of any material changes.
3Accounts and Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at support@myaccountant.cc if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
One account may be used by one business entity. Sharing account credentials between multiple businesses is not permitted.
4Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial.
At the end of the trial period, your account will be suspended unless you provide payment details and activate a paid plan. Your data is retained and accessible once you subscribe.
5Subscriptions and Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, depending on the option you select. All prices are shown exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Plans
- Starter: EUR 19/month - up to 50 invoices per month.
- Standard: EUR 29/month - unlimited invoices.
- Accountant: EUR 99/month - up to 5 client companies from one dashboard.
- Invoice Out add-on: EUR 9/month - outgoing sales invoices and P&L reporting.

Annual billing
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment equivalent to 10 monthly payments (2 months free). Annual subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law.

All payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on each renewal date. If payment fails, your account will be marked as past due and access will be suspended until payment is received.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via Settings > Subscription and Billing > Manage Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
6Acceptable Use
You agree to use MyAccountant only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
- Use the service to process documents that do not belong to your registered business, except where you are an Accountant plan user processing documents on behalf of clients.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate any part of the service.
- Upload documents containing malware, offensive content, or material that infringes the rights of third parties.
- Use automated tools to extract data from the service in bulk.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service to third parties.
7VAT and Tax Advice Disclaimer
MyAccountant provides tools to assist with the preparation of Malta VAT returns. The output of the service is based on the data you provide and the AI's interpretation of that data.
MyAccountant is not a licensed tax adviser and nothing produced by the service constitutes professional tax or legal advice. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all figures before filing any return with the Commissioner for Revenue (CFR). We strongly recommend that you have all returns reviewed by a qualified accountant before submission.
8Cato AI Assistant
The Cato assistant provides general information about Malta VAT rules and the use of the app. Cato's responses are for guidance purposes only and do not constitute professional tax advice.
Cato may perform web searches to provide current information. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information retrieved from third-party sources.
9Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using MyAccountant you agree to our Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of all data you upload to the service. You grant us a limited licence to process that data for the purpose of providing the service.
10Integrations
MyAccountant integrates with third-party platforms including Xero, Sage Business Cloud, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel. By connecting these integrations you authorise MyAccountant to access and transmit data to those platforms on your behalf. Each platform's own terms of service and privacy policy apply to data shared with them.
11Intellectual Property
MyAccountant, including its software, design, branding, and content, is the property of App-Raiser Digital. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.
You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written consent.
12Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be notified in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from service downtime or interruptions.
13Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, App-Raiser Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or penalties arising from incorrect VAT filings.
Our total liability to you in respect of any claim arising under or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.
15Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
